The antifreeze should have made everything free up. Glow fuel is probably the best thing for dissolving old fuel deposits.

Jim, 2 strokes are the only kinds of motorcycles I ever owned way back in the 70's. You're right about the heat because those things would very hot. Plus, you have to burn out the carbon every day...

If the engine stops with the piston up in the pinch you have to be careful too. I was hit hard by the prop with the glow igniter attached and I bumped the prop off of the pinch. The prop came around...

Yes, it holds up on the mounting screws through the manifold to muffler connection, and locking the nuts on the long screw holding muffler halves. I've also used it to replace factory thread locker...

Try cleaning the threads as best you can and swabbing epoxy on them as you reassemble the pieces. Let it dry. It may hold. It works for me.

I think that silver oxidizes. There is a form of drawing with silver pencil sized pieces on rough surface of some sort of ground material, like gypsum. The object is to wait until the silver oxidizes...
