I was wondering when you twin city guys were going to say something about that Yankee sticker. I liked the no-hitter earlier . It don't feel like a Yankee year. but a win is a win

I can't dis the Yank's too much as Derek Jeter is from here. Born in Jersey but raised right here in the `Zoo. My sister-in-law worked with his mother at Pfizer until she took a job at a new plant in NJ.

.you and Derek 2 celebrities from the same town . Ron
must be something in the water. We did some mph with the Busnell gun 45-50 mph ,Joe ran my hull, he wanted to trade engines . one pull start she's running ,I did buff out the Mod head /crank and some fine buffing on the ports to match the iso block & exhaust. She is faster than the master. mentor Joe He said WHY did you do that stuff. I said I want to win. LOL

Come on! The Land of 10,000 Lakes and you can't find a place to run?
I know the feeling. Lakes galore around here but finding one suitable for running my boats is another story.
Neil, lots of famous people from this town, I'm just another face in the crowd.

Ron, I did hear about a oil spill on your river I think. CBS only shower a small pic & editorial .kinda passed it off they did. Not like the big oil spill. Some say The Gov only said 200,000 barrels a day but now lets see what they say. Funny weird what been going on. We had a big cow farm loose his waste pond. Dam broke. killed all kinds of fish for miles .2 dead fisher men this week at Oswego River, high water . 17 stranded on a island ,salmon fishing. Mostly guys from Penn ,don't know any better

I know it is an old thread but it is fun to look back at the toys we had 10 years ago and maybe a good time to start adding the new boats and projects we have added since.

Lets see some updates!!

Matt, it's definitely been a while. I see a lot of names from back then that I don't see anymore in here.
I've had a lot of boats since my first 2 gassers. Just a few of them since then.

Indeed there have been many who have lost their way over the years and leave this awesome hobby - but they will be back - it has infected their minds and it just a matter of time!!

And you weren't kidding about the boats Ron!! Nice!! Is the yellow cat a blast cat?

Yes, it is. I built that boat just for that race as I knew what the water is like at Celina, OH. Some of these I still have and others have been sold over the years. That's not all of them but I still haven't amassed a collection like yours.

I have never run a blast cat though have seen a few running - quite impressive just how they tackle the rough!!

I have way too many - I hope no one ends up with a collection like this!! (would hate to think there's more than me who is this sick!!)

Rather well as most AC Model Boats run well when the water get nasty.

That sure looks like Tom Borisch's boat. I was up at his shop 3 days after he rented the place and it was sitting out in the front lobby.

I did buy it direct from Tom - just was not sure if he did the build originally or not. He was in the process of putting turbines in it when he had a change in direction I guess.

We ran one day at the lake downstream from the oil spill after it was supposedly cleaned up. My boats came in with the tar sands on the bottom.
Here's the lake, Morrow Pond, a.k.a. Kilowatt Lake.

Nice Cat Super V, I also have an Expresscraft 60" MTI Cat coming, should have it in the next few days. I also just ordered a Zippkits Envy out rigger to mess with. All mine have the Gizmo 30+ mods in them.
What brand and type of paint did you use? I'm really digging the Createx Auto Air colors with an automotive clear coat lately.

The Geico Looks awesome Super V.

Do you think you will have enough airflow in (and out) of the hull? I know some drill under the transom bustle to help get some heat out.

Thanks , yes I've seen that holes under the rear deck (mine has 4 air inlets) but even after 30 minutes of running the temps are good under the hatch I can hold the cooling jacket on the cylinder head , it's just a for fun boat anyway (55 mph so far) no racing...
