I never said the AMA wants to enforce FAA laws but what they do want is for their members to be exempt from FAA laws.

And how do know that was not a AMA member? Bottom line is all it takes to fly RC safely is to have a some common sense and people besides AMA members know how to fly RC safely also.

Why would the FAA wish to contract with the AMA? The AMA does not have a way to enforce anything. Do we really want a system in place where people can end up in prison for flying a model aircraft...

Well said and I agree, IMO the reason we are at the place we are with the FAA is because the AMA did not negotiate in good faith with the FAA but instead tried to get laws passed that mandate...
