RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

Thanks for the tips! I sanded the poo out of this model, and also built light (for the first time). I'm very happy with the results. I have started to discover the joys of a nice CA tip...love the...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

I'm running an FA-125 with an evolution 16x6, I like it very much. After reading your post I realize I did not add the required right thrust. OOPS. It's flying great, with very little trim...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

WOW. THANK YOU! I have been struggling to find a concrete way to measure PERFECT CG by transposing it over from the plan. Have a hard number (3") helps tremendously. Thank you.

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

She saw her total flights enter the double digits today. I'm loving it more and more. I have to say, my concerns on AUW seem unfounded as the wing loading feels perfect. It doesn't get knocked...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

I know a few are running the DLE 20 with great success. If/when I build another one, I'll go that route to have a comparison, though I do LOVE the glow fourstroke on this bird.

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

Got a maiden in this morning. What an awesome, awesome plane. I am extremely happy with the Saito FA-125 on this bird. I also ended up quite nose heavy as indicated by a strong pull to the canopy...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

I'm looking forward to bringing it to the field fully assembled (My Land Cruiser will fit it no problem). That's a nice thing about bipes...the shorter wingspan makes them more compact overall for a...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

Yeah, she's balanced laterally (both wings individually, then the entire assembly).

Spinners with lead would be awesome for issues like this!

I looked at the brass spinners, but...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

Thanks for the encouragement, and thanks for the mini servo recommendation.

Honestly I COULD go the mini servo route, but one of my primary goals with this plane was servo SPEED, unfortunately,...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

That is interesting, I just looked up the weight on the 120AX and it's only 4.3 oz heavier than the saito...I changed to a dual battery configuration (twin 1700 mah Life) to afford a more...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

Just finishing up my ultimate and have run into a snag.

It needs about 15 ounces of weight on the nose to balance.

I've installed a Saito FA-125, it has dual elevator servos (installed in...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

I just picked up a brand new Saito FA-125 today.  I know it's not on your shelf, but after 3 months of research it's the motor I ended up with.  Still, a TWIN on this plane would be incredible, and...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

Started my build thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10833923/tm.htm .  I would like to join the brotherhood...the first available number will suffice.

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

I'm up in Canada right now, but as soon as I get back I'll post up pics of the build. I just picked up my first gas plane (an H9 T-craft) and I LOVE it. So now I'm thinking DLE20, FG20, or FA125....

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

I did that and SO appreciate the pointers...thanks!

David -

Roger that...I think that's what I'll end up going with (HS225BB). I'll start a proper build thread and move my questions there to...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

David,

What kind of servos are you using on the Elevator?

I'm going with the 125...if I don't like it I can pick up the DLE and try that. Weight is slightly more on the DLE and that kind of...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

Thanks for the advice. I'm NOTa 3D pilot by any stretch. Ican hover, harrier, and that's about it. So if I can get the plane to hover, do some cool flat spins and some KE work (not crazy KE, but...

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.

New Guy.  Some questions:

I had a CG Ultimate "back in the day" I loved it until I crashed it due to that dumb elevator pushrod (lost elevator authority).  My fault, but I didn't really know...
