It was a futaba High torque digital servo. Whether you go digital or standard, I would still go with two servos. Have two digitals and no issues after a season of flying.

I would go with two servos (one for each flap). I tried the single servo setup in the manual but burned through two digital servos. Fortunately it happened on the ground.
