That was mine, it was mounted on a removable tray. There’s a second bulkhead you have to go through which was kind of a pain but everything fit nice when I was done.

I used the Eflite LED's called out in the manual and they seem really bright. In broad daylight I'm sure you probably can't see them anyway, but for flying close to dusk I think they would be great....

You shouldn't have any problem covering open structure with solartex and painting.. No glass needed over solartex just prime and paint.

My 1/3rd scale cub is done that way..
