In the first picture, with the plane outside, the cowl is the original from the kit, cut for the glow engine.
The cowl in the night flyer shots is a cowl I stole from a Kadet MK II kit I had...

Here are a few pictures of my Kadet as a night flyer. I took the pictures in my garage in total darkness, all the light is from the plane.
If you have enough of the LED strips there is no problem...
