I was told the production run of the pnp servos changed at some point at the factory and should be run at no more than 6v. I swapped all of my pnp servos out for mks.
Go back and start at post 440. I think there were some issues noted before that as well.

That’s correct, the original MacGregor servos although labelled HV were strict 6v only. The instruction sheet says 5.9v Sensor switch, which is what I use and my customers, at the regulated 5.9v the servos work faultlessly. The servo has been replaced by a true HV servo now, but there are a lot of PNP kits made with the original servos.
i guess in your case the Flap servo works the hardest and it’s overheated

Elevator cable protection
Hello,
i’m finalizing my Joker, and was wondering how to guard the elevator connectors at the stabilizer location, in such a way that they cannot touch the thrust tube. Just doet wanna toast the wiring there....

Put a loop of Velcro strapping around the lead, have a length of hook Velcro on the fuselage side, just above the tail seat either side. Plug the lead in and attach the loop to the fuselage side.

Hello,
Today, i spoke some happy JOKER pilots. They told me about the CARF CG that is way to far fwd.
Since this was also mentioned in this thread some months ago, is there any update on the best location?

Depends when you balance it. With no fuel in the main tank it would be way noseheavy at factory setting. Add 30mm fuel to the main tank and put it at 185mm

Hello guys,
Just got the Joker and before buying the turbine, is the Jets Munt new VT80BL relight more than enough? I do not want to break the sound barrier (yet) but want good performance without increasing the weight too much.

I currently fly a Joker with the VT80BL and I can tell you the Joker flies great. No you wont break the sound barrier but it will get you your blood flowing. I have seen speeds in the 170s (mph) level flight. I am sure you could get into the 180's if you dove into it but I am not a speed demon either especially since I am new to turbines and just obtained my waiver so I still fly conservatively. The VT80BL has been flawless on Diesel with 5% Kingtech oil. I fly in Houston where it is hot and muggy and the engine has not missed a beat thus far. The Joker has been a great first turbine airframe and the Jets Munt engine has complimented the airframe well. A match made in Heaven.
