What is the wing in the roof of your workshop off?

The wings are from a stillborn full scale project from 20 years ago. They would have gone on a 125% Monocoupe powered by an MP-14 radial. Got as far as you see and then the whole project collapsed into a shouting match between the companies involved. Just never could bring myself to cut them up and bin them so they hang in the shop.

F1 rocket... Thanks for the spring idea. I had the nose gear door mounted but hadn't yet figured out how I wanted to have it close.

I mounted the spring to two modified 1/2a control horns which I eventually screwed to the gear door and nose cone former. My gear door just rides on the strut directly but I did add 3M clear bra sheet to the back of the gear door so the metal strut doesn't rub directly against the carbon door.

I have seen a few guys run their fuel line from the pump to the turbine on top of the main fuel tank. Any issues doing this? Im guessing the pump is plenty strong to pump from the fuse floor to the top of the tank and back to the turbine or we would have heard from them otherwise. Thoughts?

I run it like that, the filter is in between the 2 wooden formers witch hold the tank.

No problem at all.

Cheers,

Ed

Out today with the Joker, fits in my van assembled, so great grab and go model. Overcast and grey day, couple of flights and back to the warm :-)
P-100 is perfect power for this airframe, low residual thrust helps slow touch downs on our 360' grass strip.

Had the Joker out again today, perfect model for drizzly overcast days where it comes from my van assembled.

Default Green light on nose gear?

Hi,
When I watched the video of this maiden flight, I thought it looked like the green LED on the nose gear strut would turn on/off or change green to white during final.
Almost like it was a speed indicator?
Has anyone ever seen anything like this or know the pilot?
Thanks

That's my Joker. I'm using the Xicoy FC-1 flight computer with a pitot tube for airspeed. The FC-1 allows you to set up 4 LED alarms based on airspeed (blinking green, solid green, solid red, blinking red), I've found it very helpful in getting consistent landing approach speeds.

Regards from Spain.

Carlos

Not sure why you made one the same capacity as the one provided with the kit. Making it 10% bigger might have opened the market more for you. The stock tank is super light too...

Put down a deposit on a white/red Joker last night. Container has left Thailand, routing thru Hong Kong to California (didn't know CARF had a US warehouse). Was able to get the free shipping holiday deal from a plane in this container shipment.
Should hopefully see the plane by the end of January.
Thanks to everyone in this thread !

really the question not is if the original tank run perfect, I’m total sure that is perfect, but when you spend a lot of € in a Jet and try make a internal installation more nice possible, sure you will want a personalized Kevlat Tank, or not.

But if you want it, I’m the option !!!

I emailed you a while back about this but have you reconsidered a larger than stock tank that fits the mount?

Hi Kevin, yes, I can make it bigger, but I need maximal dimensions, same diameter but longer, or square, that have more capacity with similar dimensions but more capacity.

Write me:

thanks

The tank is in front of the balance, so you cannot go crazy, I added 25mm length to mine so 2.2lt I get 7 minutes with a P-100Rx

Put the flaps on a matchbox or Powerbox Micro Match and you are set
