The Goldberg Ultimate is a great flying airplane . I built two of the kits, one of the best airplanes I have had. One I did in the color scheme on the box and the other I did in Skoal Bandit colors. Harry Gant was driving the Skoal car then and he lives abouth 10 miles from me.

Other pic that I meant to include.
This is my wife's current project.

I have always loved the bent wing Corsair, I think that yours is the Top Flite Golden Edition and I can see that there is a great advance on your building.

I also saw the picture of your Ultimate box, congratulations, I hope that you can post as many pictures as you can regarding your build.

Your wife should be pride of your building skills.

Is she flying now?

Tom: Thanks for checking in, you have a very nice and creative scheme, I really like the combination of those colors.
I have read your very interesting building thread and it is great to know that you are here, I think of you like a great source of knowledge and experience for our brotherhood.

You are # 28 and thanks for supporting.

I guess this means I'm #29???

My CG Ultimate is at least 10years old and still the best flying airplane in my hanger. Power is provided by a YS-1.20ac with 16x8 prop, she'll climb forever!

Welcome to our brotherhood, you have # 30.

I can see that you used a two stroke engine, because of the position of the HSNV, What engine did you use?.

My wife is still learning to fly via the Aerofly simulator. I was going to put her in the air with my 96" telemaster, but it met it's fate while tangling with a power line during a failed RX battery flight.
This kit is a Giant Scale Top Flight Corsair, and will feature folding wings, retracts, flaps, radome, and a servo actuated canopy. I am currently looking into articulating cowl flaps (controlled by a thermistor in the engine compartment).
To contrast the size, the table it is sitting on is 40" x 72"

Great engine, I have had several Super Tigre engines and they all went great, a great value for the power. By now I only keep two of them, one in the trainer that I keep for my kids and the second one in my kaos which serves me to practice the pattern maneuvers. Very reliable and miser on fuel.

It is an Ohio R/C Ultimate 10-300 with a 63" wing flying on a 45cc CRRC engine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jUH5iXn5UU

Hope these ones come through, if you look carefully you will see that the horns for controlling the upper ailerons are pitched differently than those in the lower, driving, ailerons.

braddock what engine do you use?

It's currently fitted with a run in saito 125 with a jxf 16x6 prop and just waiting to go, hanging up by the prop in my trailer waiting for the next 12 days to pass then I'll maiden her.
I have to do a few checks to make sure she's safe to fly, check the bolts holding the lead on the engine mount are secure, I'm also changing the inter aileron push rods as the hardware horns supplied are brass and have 2mm holes in , the clevises have 1.8 mm pins so I'm fitting ball joints with 2mm ht bolts and nyloc nuts, I really want this one to last.
Incidentally, I ditched the alloy u/c in favour of the wire from the CG kit to which I soldered ome brass strip and wrapped with red pvc tape, I also have to fit the wheel pants and remove the lipo battery and Ubec and pop in some high capacity nicads I just bought, one less thing to go wrong.

#17 is fine with me.I use a 16-8 and I have no wish to change that setup.I'm very happy with this plane.I won it in a club raffle and somebody said to get a bigger engine than CG recomended so I got the 180 and have never been sorry. These pics are with the original paint scheme, very hard to see on a cloudy day.Tom

Okay sign me up. Mine is finished just like the box. I have a smoke system on it and I have not yet flown her yet as she is way nose heavy with the extra tank and smoke pump and I have just been to busy to move everything around to fly her. I enjoyed the build and would love to get another kit and I will get her rebalanced soon and fly it. Dave

David:
You have the # 33

What kind of smoke pump are you using? I set up initially the TME simple pump, it worked well with my Magnum 120 four stroke engine. Later I changed that engine for a two stroke OS 120 AX, but I have not had the time to make a cooper tubing coil around the muffler to heat the oil, I hope to set that up soon.

Alfred.

I'll join up with ya, boys. I've been flying my CG Ultimate 10-300 for a few years now and love it.

The Ultimate Coke Machine

Powered by a Magnum 1.20 four stroke, Futaba T6XS system. It's a fun plane to fly and the Magnum is quiet and plenty powerful. It does tend to be a little snappy and pitch to the belly in knife-edge, but otherwise it's a capable, fun bird.

IMAflyer, thanks for sharing this awesome video, first of all, let me tell you that trim scheme is fabulouse and it remains me a Coca vs Pepsi, two Ultimates that were build to compete each other I will try to look for that video and post it later.
The landings and take of yours were of a great quality and control, since I am posting from my phone, I just could not see if there were damages at the final landing, was it due a death stick?. Anyway the bipe is kind of sturdy and it seems to me that it was in one piece, even the prop. Congratulations for share this hobby with your kids, and I thank you for joining to our brotherhood. I hope to see more pictures and videos from your Ultimate biplane. (and kids enjoying your activities).

BTW your number is 34. And very welcome.

Alfred.
