Default Kingtech telemetry

Goodday
i have a question about the kingtech telemetry to setup with my transmitter. I have a futaba 14sg with the latest firmware V7.0. Now I try to connect the kingtech telemetry but it will not configure. Even if i try to select slots for it. I have configured the KT telemetry to futaba with the gsu and followed by assign it to slots in the transmitter. No joy so far, can somebody help?

with friendly regards,
christiaan

Hey there Christiaan,

Can you give me some advice in how you managed to registered the kingtech telemetry to the transmitter?
If I try to register the unit, I just get a connection error in the display. :/

Thank you very much and all the best from Austria
Tom

Hey Tom,

i got it just to work. You just have to connect the KT telemetry to the receiver. Don't try to register via the transmitter, it just dont work. Then you have to select Futaba slt 1-7 with the GSU to configure the telemetry. In the transmitter assign the slots:
Slot1:rpm sensor
Slot2:Temperature
Slot3:Temperature
Slot4:rpm sensor
Slot5:Temperature
Slot6:Voltage

the numbers will be right but the title and units won't be all correct, some of them are like EGT, voltage and rpm.
hope this will help you, if you have questions feel free.

greets,
christiaan

Hi Mate,

Just tried it but I still don`t get it to work.

All I can set in the GSU is Telemetry System: Compa. FUTABA
I can`t set slots via the GSU?

Thx for your help
Tom

Kingtech Telemetry is an add one box ($70us) that goes between the ECU and GSU

Tom, did you try set the slots in the transmitter? Can be 1-7, 24-31 I believe. And what color light gives your KT telemetry? Should be blue, green flashing.

Slot1:rpm sensor
Slot2:Temperature
Slot3:Temperature
Slot4:rpm sensor
Slot5:Temperature
Slot6:Voltage

just choose a sensor related to rpm temp and voltage according the list above. Futaba only has futaba sensors in the list of the 14sg. Hope this will work for you!

Futaba sensor remap :
Slot1:rpm sensor
Slot2:Temperature
Slot3:Temperature
Slot4:rpm sensor
Slot5:Temperature
Slot6:Voltage
Slot8:JetCat V10
Slot24:rpm sensor
Slot25:Temperature
Slot26:Temperature
Slot27:rpm sensor
Slot28:Temperature
Slot29:Temperature
Slot30:Voltage

this is the complete list btw. Slot8 is jetcat v10 and used normally for turbine telemetry. The futaba 14sg does not have jetcat v10 in the list. So slot 8- 24 will be inact.

Hey Christiaan,

Thx for the input. I just selected the following in the sensor tab:

1 SBS-01R*
2 SBS-01T
3 SBS-01T
4 SBS-01R*
5 SBS-01T
6 SBS-01V
7 SBS-01V

Does that sound about right?
I will give it a try tomorrow if I get any telemetry data down from the module.

Hi Christiaan,

Nope, I have to send the telemetry unit in for a Firmware Upgrade as it is one of the first it seems and not compatible with the 14SG.

I'll report back once I receive the unit back from KingTech

Hi Christian

Can you upload some pictures or possibly some video of your T14SG screen
I'm curious to see how this transmitter displays the turbine info and what useful info you can retrieve

Many thanks
Robert

Default Jeti and Kt Telemetry module

Hello!!!
i’m trying to make the kt telemetry module with a Jeti ds24 and I can’t make it to work, I have installed all the cables as shown in the manual and nothing, no reading at all....

anyone running it with jeti thet could jump with their set up so I can see if I’m doing anything wrong...

Have you double checked to see if you have selected “Jeti” as the radio model in the telemetry device
